Service Description
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The Step-by-Step Learning Lab is a small-group summer program designed to help students strengthen the listening and language skills needed to understand and follow directions during everyday learning activities. Through engaging games, movement activities, and interactive problem-solving tasks, students practice listening carefully, processing spoken language, and completing multi-step directions. Students will participate in fun, structured activities that require them to listen, think, and complete tasks step-by-step while strengthening important language concepts used in the classroom. These experiences help children develop the listening and comprehension skills needed to successfully follow instructions during academic tasks and group activities. The Step-by-Step Learning Lab is not therapy. It is an enrichment-based program designed for students who may or may not qualify for school-based services but would benefit from additional support practicing listening, understanding directions, and applying language concepts in a supportive small-group environment.
